Richard Sykes-Popham

Richard has over 15 years experience as a planning consultant. He is a chartered planning and development surveyor with a keen understanding of the financial and commercial considerations that drive property and development decision-making. Richard acts for clients of all sizes on a wide variety of projects in the residential, care, commercial, leisure and infrastructure sectors. This includes expert witness work at public inquiries, appearing at examinations in public, green belt cases and contesting enforcement action. He is known for his analytical and objective approach.

Rachael Morwood

Rachael is a chartered town planner with extensive planning application and appeal experience. Her eye for detail and objectivity provide clarity and certainty for clients. Rachael’s work also encompasses site promotion, appraisals and advice. She is an excellent planning application manager and representative and ensures clients’ interests are protected at all times. Rachael’s work focuses on the residential, commercial and leisure sectors where her insightful approach benefits national housebuilders, institutions, property companies and householders alike.

We work tirelessly to establish the facts and find the information and evidence you need and provide objective advice to help you understand and protect your position. We apply our evidence led approach to enforcement appeals, negotiations, certificate of lawfulness applications and planning applications to regularise your activities and development.

Our aim is to enable you to start your development at the earliest possible juncture. We’re experts in amending planning permissions, discharging conditions and negotiating section 106 obligations. We collaborate, pre-empt issues, make sure applications are thorough and maintain the momentum so that you get results sooner.

Pre-application enquiries

Our objective is to ensure you get meaningful pre-application advice that leaves you better informed about the prospects of your land, site or project. We make sure that your local planning authority is provided with the right information and is asked the right questions. We engage the planning authority and analyse and interpret their responses so that you get the answers you need.
